FAQs
What do I need to pawn an item?
You’ll need:
A valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, etc.)
The item(s) you want to pawn
In some cases, we may ask for accessories (chargers, cases) or proof of ownership for certain items.
Do you run a credit check?
No. Pawn loans are based on the value of the item—not your credit score.
How much can I get for my item?
Loan amounts vary based on:
Item condition and completeness
Brand/model and market value
Demand and how quickly it resells
Precious metal content (for gold/silver)
Bring it in for a free evaluation—offers are typically made on the spot.
How long is a pawn loan?
30 days. We’ll explain the exact due date and renewal options before you sign anything.
Can I get my item back early?
Yes—you can redeem your item at any time by paying the remaining balance plus any applicable fees/interest up to that date.
What happens if I can’t pay it back?
If the loan isn’t paid by the due date (and not renewed), the item may be forfeited and becomes our property to sell. There are no collections and no credit reporting on typical pawn loans.
Can someone else pick up my pawned item?
Yes - with a valid ID and pawn ticket.
Do you buy items too, or only do loans?
Yes -
Pawn (loan): you can get the item back
Sell to us: one-time payment, we keep the item
We can quote both options so you can choose.
What items do you accept?
Common items include:
Gold/silver jewelry, coins, bullion
Tools and equipment
Electronics (phones, tablets, gaming systems)
Musical instruments
Luxury goods (watches, handbags)
Selection can vary—call or stop by for specifics.
How Pawns Work
A pawn is a short-term loan using your item as collateral. You bring in something of value (like jewelry, tools, electronics, musical instruments, etc.), and we make you a loan offer based on the item’s condition, resale value, and current market demand. If you accept the offer, you leave the item with us and walk out with cash.
When you repay the loan (plus any applicable fees/interest) by the due date, you get your item back. If you need more time, many customers choose to extend the loan (where allowed) by paying the fees/interest to renew. If the loan isn’t repaid, the item may be forfeited and becomes shop inventory—there’s no impact to your credit because pawn loans aren’t reported like traditional loans.
Is my item safe while it’s pawned?
Yes. Pawned items are stored securely. We have top of the line security systems in place including cameras, safes, and more.
How fast do I get paid?
In most cases, same day—on the spot after the item is evaluated and paperwork is completed.
Are pawn transactions confidential?
We respect your privacy. We do follow all required regulations and recordkeeping laws.
Can I pawn something if I still owe money on it?
Usually no. Pawned items must be owned free and clear. For certain categories, we may require proof of ownership.
Can I pawn an item that’s a gift or inherited?
Yes—if it’s legally yours to pawn and we can verify identity/ownership where required.
Why choose pawning instead of selling?
Pawning lets you get cash now without giving up your item—and you can redeem it when you’re ready.
Do you charge interest or fees?
Pawn loans may include interest and/or fees depending on state/local laws. We always disclose the total cost upfront before you agree.
What items do you NOT accept?
We typically do not accept:
Broken items (case-by-case)
Items without key components (e.g., consoles without power cords)
Recalled/unsafe items
Items we can’t verify ownership on
Rules also vary based on local/state regulations.
How do you determine value for gold and jewelry?
We evaluate:
Metal type (10K, 14K, 18K, etc.)
Weight and purity
Gemstones/brand (if applicable)
Current market pricing and resale demand
Testing is done in-store and your items stay with you during evaluation unless you proceed.
